Gunmen sought in home robbery of Bethesda family

Bethesday RobberyMontgomery County Police investigating the armed robbery of a Bethesda family have released surveillance video of the suspects, and they are asking for the public’s help in identifying the men.

The video was obtained from an office building in the area of the robbery.

On the afternoon of Nov. 25, two suspects approached the female homeowner at the front door of a residence 10500 block of Farnham Drive and forced their way into the home.

Once inside, the woman, her husband, and a young child were all confronted at gunpoint and property was stolen.  No physical injuries were reported.

The suspects then stole the victim’s Cadillac Escalade which was recovered a short time later at the intersection of Berkshire Drive and Yorkshire Terrace.

The first suspect was described a black male in his 20s, 5’10″ tall, weighing 200 pounds, wearing a black ski mask and dark baggy clothing.

The second suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, 6’2″ tall, 190 pounds, thin build, dreadlocks, dark clothing, wool hat, and blue and white scarf, and armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information about this case or the suspects involved is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070 or call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Tips received through Crime Solvers may be eligible for a reward of up to$10,000.
