Hagerstown police said Stephen Schleuniger made the confession as part of his plea deal for the second-degree murder of Lisa Simmons, according toWHAG. Schleuniger was sentenced Tuesday to 30 years in the Simmons case.

Schleuniger, a 44-year-old truck driver, admitted to Hagerstown police that he killed Tammy Myerly in 2010. The deal prevents authorities from charging Schleuniger in Myerly’s killing. Her body was found so badly decomposed in 2010 that a cause an manner of death could not be determined.

Schleuniger led Cumberland investigators to Simmons’ remains in an industrial park in Winchester, Va., after she had been reported missing in early September.
