Prince George’s County police are looking for a suspect accused of shooting another man in Chillum last week, and they are asking the public for information to help lead to his arrest.

Police said 34-year-old Derrick Lamar Herndon fired several shots at the victim in the 5600 block of 18th Avenue in Chillum on Jan. 7.  The victim was struck in the arm. Herndon hasn’t been seen since.

Police are asking the public to take a close look at Herndon’s photo to see if you know him and can tell police where they can find him.

Herndon was shown in this week’s Wanted Wednesday, an initiative by the Prince George’s County Police Department that features surveillance videos and photographs of wanted fugitives.

Should you see someone you recognize in these images, police ask that you call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. You don’t need to give your name. You may be eligible for a cash reward for information leading to an arrest  and conviction in the case.
