Police identify man, woman killed execution-style near Howard University

Two people were found shot to death in a home across from Howard University in Northwest Washington, according to D.C. police.

The man and woman were discovered inside a row house in the 700 block of Girard Street NW around 11 p.m. Monday, after a friend looked inside a window to check on them, police said. The victims had suffered apparent gunshot wounds, and authorities pronounced them dead at the scene.

Detectives have identified the male victim as 36-year-old Oluremi Thomas of Northwest, D.C., and the female victim as 24-year-old Keyonna Proctor of Southeast, D.C.

According to NBC4, the man and woman were killed execution style, and police found a large amount of marijuana inside the residence.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s text tip line by text messaging 50411.
