Two males who were killed in a crash that split their car in two have been identified.

Killed were 21-year-old O’Sha Marquis Allen, White Plains, and 18-year-old Daryl Deon Davis of the 3200 block of 75th Avenue in Landover.

The young men were killed at about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, when their sedan collided with a taxi at Pennsy Drive and Old Landover Road at the entrance of the Metro station parking lot. The collision caused one of the vehicles to split in half.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the taxi was heading northbon Pennsy Drive and the car was traveling south.  For reasons which remain unclear, the car lost control and crossed into the northbound lane, colliding with the taxi, police said.

The crash occurred just as the snow started falling today.  While the snow hadn’t begun to stick to the roadways, the road was wet at the time, police said.  It appears the wet conditions and speed played a role in the crash, police said.
