A man threatening to kill people at a Bethesda mall has been apprehended and taken into custody, authorities said.

The scare at the Westfield Montgomery Mall on Tuesday evening came three days after a shooter gunned down two people at the Columbia Mall before taking his own life.

At about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Montgomery County and Maryland State Police responded to a report of a man with a gun at a store in the 7100 block of Democracy Boulevard.
