Virginia police have recovered the SUV of a missing reserve police officer, and the reward for information that can lead his recovery has grown.

Police suspect foul play in the disappearance of 45-year-old Kevin Wayne Quick, a captain in the Waynesboro Police Department’s police reserve unit.

Authorities may be in the northern part of the state after finding photographic evidence of someone using his credit cards in Manassas over the weekend.

Police said they found the silver 1999 Toyota 4Runner Monday under a car port in Louisa County.

Quick was last seen Friday night, leaving his mother’s home in Afton, about 2o miles west of Charlottesville. Quick said he was going to a friend’s home about 20 minutes away in Albemarle County, but he never showed, police said.

His family reported him missing to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office at 6 p.m. Saturday; the sheriff’s office entered him into the National Crime Information Center missing person’s database.

Some Waynesboro businesses have rallied to collect a $8,000 reward in this case.

Photos obtained photos showing his vehicle with two unidentified men, police said Sunday.

He is described as a 6-feet-1, about 200 pounds with brown hair, hazel eyes and a scar about his left eye. he wears contacts but sometimes wears eyeglasses.
