Reward offered for stabbing of female dog in D.C.


Law enforcement officers are offering a reward for information about the person who stabbed a female dog in Southeast Washington.

A female dog was found suffering from multiple stab wounds, and D.C. police are offering a reward for the person or persons responsible.

According to the Washington Humane Society, a black and white pit bull-type dog was found in the alley behind 2920 P Street Southeast on Thursday. Investigators determined that the dog has been stabbed six times between the hours of 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday.

The dog did not survive.

Authorities say they need the help of the community for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the act of animal cruelty. The Washington Humane Society is offering a $2,500 reward that will be given to any person who provides information.
