The most recent incident of violence occurred Friday, and police have issued a warrant for the accused knifeman Eric Dewayne Hickman.

According to police, a man had just left the club when he encountered the 26-year-old Hickman. The two men argued, and Hickman, who knew the victim, stabbed the man multiple times before fleeing.

Hickman, of the 2200 block of 16th Street in Southeast Washington, remains wanted on a charge of second-degree murder.

In November, a fight that began in the club resulted in three people getting shot, police said. After the altercation inside the club, a group of people were escorted outside where a man pulled out a gun and fired into the crowd.

Two adult males and one female suffered non-life threatening wounds.

The suspect fled the scene and police continue to investigate. Detectives are working to identify the shooter.

Upscale Ballroom will remain closed pending an appeal hearing.

Anyone with information about the location of Hickman or the identity of the shooting suspect is urged to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Regional Investigation Division – South at (301) 749-5064.
